ROBERT HAROLD JAMES
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2018, 3:00 p.m. at Georgetown Cemetery north of Pottsboro. Dr. Mike Lawson will officiate.
Robert Harold James, age 96, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Nanaws Assisted Living Place in Denison, Texas.
Born November 29, 1921 Robert grew up in Jackson, Mississippi before joining the Army in World War II. His troop headed up the Normandy invasion. On returning to the states he landed a job with Phillips Petroleum in Pampa, Texas where he worked for 40 years. He raised his family in Pampa and worked until his retirement in 1984. In his retirement he traveled with his wife Billie around the U.S., Europe and Hawaii.
He is survived by his daughter, Jo Ann Syring and her husband, Dennis Syring of Denison and grandson, Michael Baker of Amarillo. He is preceded in death by his wife, Billie James; daughter, Donna Baker and grandson, David Syring.
A special thank you from the family to Nanaws Place and Guardian Hospice for their wonderful care in Robert’s final months.
