Barbara Nell Hogan, 82 year old resident of Denison died at her residence on Monday, March 9, 2015.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-7 p.m. at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 12, 2015, at the Park Avenue Church Of Christ with Brother Wesley Encalade officiating. Burial will follow in Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Serving as her pallbearers will be Jimmy C. Rosser, Phil Landrum, Larry Long, Randy Truxal, Jim Russell and Ken Bell.
Barbara was born on January 3, 1933, in Fort Worth, Texas, the daughter of Dudley and Ruth Elliot Wooten. She attended school in Fort Worth and in Denison. She and Jasper Hogan were married on February 24, 1962, in Fort Worth. He preceded her in death on April 4, 2001. She was a homemaker and a member of Park Avenue Church Of Christ. Barbara coached girl’s softball for many years, taught children’s Bible classes and loved being a greeter at Park Avenue. She enjoyed her flower garden. She loved her children and adored her grandchildren. Barbara loved the Lord and had a strong faith.
She is survived by her son, Matthew Hogan and his wife, Carrie of Durant, Oklahoma; daughter, Sabrina Greene and grandchildren, Ashleigh Greene and Joshua Greene of Plano, Texas; sisters, Ruth Fields of Fresno, California and Carole Pack of Haltom City, Texas .
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jasper; two sisters and one brother.
Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home.

    So sorry for your loss, Aunt Barbara was a delightful lady.. She had a sense of humor that made you smile & laugh … I tell Ray that he must of got his sense of humor from her.. She use to keep Mary,Ray & Bruce when they were small before she married Jasper. They would walk 12 miles to & from the store with them…. which she said was a time with The Daniels Kids… She has told Ray & I so many stories about when he was a baby… we are going to miss her.. She went to sleep in her bed & woke up in The Arms of Jesus… I know she was smiling as she always did… Rest in The Arms of The Lord Jesus Christ Aunt Barbara…. we will be waiting to see you at The River… Greeting us with your Joy , Love & Smile….Ray & Joan Daniels
