Denison
Lt. Col. Charles Harris (Ret), 91, passed away at Legacy Living in Denison on Sunday, March 9, 2014.
Private graveside services were held Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Cedarlawn Memorial Park.
Charles was born in Jefferson City, Missouri on December 2, 1922, the son of Cecil James and Celia Anderson Harris. He served his country in the United States Air Force as a pilot and retired in 1982. He was then employed as a commercial airline pilot. He and Addie Jo Ogle were married on July 13, 2002 in San Antonio, TX.
He is survived by his wife, Addie Jo of Denison; sister, Flo Howlett of Missouri; nephews, Donald Howlett and his wife, Jonette and Thomas Howlett and his wife, Donna all of Missouri; two great nephews, two great nieces; four great-great nephews; four great-great nieces; daughter, Linda Keese and her husband, Earl of Denison; son, Gary Ogle of Austin, Texas; grandsons, Jonathan Keese and his wife, Chelsee of Tom Ball, Texas, Steven Ogle and his wife, Lisa of Austin, Texas, Philip Ogle of Austin, Texas, granddaughter, Mona Ogle of Austin, Texas and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary and his older brother.
The family wishes to thank the employees and staff of Legacy Living and Home Hospice of Grayson County for the wonderful care, compassion and attention he received while he was in their care.
Arrangements were under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home.
