Mabel Christensen Green, 100 year-old Denison resident, passed away Friday, March 29, 2013 at her residence.
Visitation will be held at the First Christian Chruch one hour prior to the service.
Services will be held at 2;00 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at the First Christian Church in Denison. Reverend Steve Chambers, senior minister of the church will officiate. Burial will follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons, Kenneth Ray Green, Matthew Green, Christopher Green, Larry Nevil, Nathan Donohoe and Andy Beene.
Mrs. Green was born on September 16, 1912 in Jamestown, Kansas, daughter of Harold and Maren Christensen. She graduated from school in Enid, Oklahoma. She and William Curtis “Bill” Green were married in Enid, Oklahoma on October 11, 1930. He preceded her in death on May 20, 1994.
Mrs. Green was a homemaker and member of First Christian Church, the Christian Women’s Fellowship, Retired Railroad N.A.R.V.R.E and AARP.
Mrs. Green is survived by her son, Bill Green and his wife, Lilan of Lake Lavon, Texas; daughters, Carolyn Keith and her husband, Sonny of Maumelle, Arkansas and Elaine Donohoe and her husband, Larry of Denison; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren and her best friend, Ann Ray of Denison.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; parents; four brothers; daughter, Dolores Nevil and son, Gary Green.
