Richard Alan Taylor, 59, died at Texoma Medical Center on Friday, August 3, 2012.
He willed his body to UT Southwestern Medical Research Center.
Visitation with his family will be from 6:30 pm until 7:30 pm on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home in Denison.
Rick was born on May 19, 1953 in San Diego, California, the son of Jack Wallace and Earlene Short Taylor. He graduated from Harrison High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Rick married Nancy Taylor on July 2, 1989 in Sherman, Texas.
He went to vocational school for refrigeration and air conditioning training in Omaha, Nebraska, was a member of Joshua Crossing Church and had worked as a cashier/clerk at EZ Mart. He was really proud of being a member of the Mickey Mouse Club as a child and always told his grandkids about it. He loved all his family and extended family and loved visiting with them at all the holidays and family reunions.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Taylor; son, Michael A. Rodgers and his wife, Cynthia of Howe, Texas; daughters, Lisa Taylor of Bismark, Arkansas, Heather Caves and her husband, Charles of Cartwright, Oklahoma, Martha Delphin and her husband, Kenneth of Sherman and Ellen Rhew of Denison; sister, Jackie Florentino and her husband, Albert of Denton, Texas; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Jack.
