Jean Vandagriff

January 22, 1936 - December 22, 2023

Jean Vandagriff. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jean Vandagriff, who passed away on December 22, 2023, at the age of 87. Born on January 22, 1936, Jean lived a full and meaningful life, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to her family and community.
Jean was a devoted member of Webb Chapel Baptist Church in Farmers Branch, Texas. Her faith played an essential role in her life.
In addition to her deep faith, Jean enjoyed spending time outdoors, working in her flower beds, and keeping her yard nice. She had a green thumb and took great pride in her garden, which bloomed with vibrant colors and fragrances throughout the seasons. Jean’s love for nature and her ability to nurture life extended beyond her garden, as she also cherished her time spent with her family and friends.
Jean was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and NASCAR. She followed both sports passionately and never missed an opportunity to cheer on her favorite teams. Her love for these sports brought her family and friends together, creating lasting memories and a shared love for the game.
Jean’s spirit of giving and love for others was evident in her relationships with her family. She is survived by her son, Mike Hefley, and wife Linda of Pottsboro, Texas; daughter, Janie Hood, and husband Bobby of Pottsboro, Texas; granddaughters, Ashley Hood and Stephanie Hood of Pottsboro, Texas; and great-granddaughters, Kassidy Hood, Kayla Hood, Addison Faubion, and Jocelyn Faubion all of Pottsboro, Texas. Jean’s family was the center of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Putz and Mattie Perryman, and her brother, Jack Youngblood. Their passing left an indelible mark on Jean’s life, but her love and devotion to her family and community continue to live on through the memories and stories shared by those who knew her.
