Cheryl Hands, born on November 29, 1944, to Jim Gumm Sr. and Caroline, passed away on March 1, 2024, in Dallas, Texas. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a cherished grandmother.
Cheryl shared 53 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Dan Hands. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. Their bond was a testament to enduring love and unwavering commitment.
Cheryl was a dedicated member of Georgetown Baptist Church, where her faith was an integral part of her life. Her kindness, compassion, and selflessness touched the hearts of all who knew her. She exemplified the true spirit of Christian love and fellowship.
Family meant everything to Cheryl, and she poured her heart and soul into being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will forever be remembered by those who were blessed to know her.
Cheryl is survived by her loving husband, Dan Hands, of Pottsboro, Texas; her children, Debbie Fann and husband David of Asheville, North Carolina, Jack Hands and wife Stacy of Plano, Texas, and Bryan Hands of Denison, Texas; her seven adoring grandchildren; and her five precious great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim Gumm Sr. and Caroline, and her brother, Jim Gumm Jr.
Cheryl’s presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love of those who have gone before her.
