Jerry Howard Brooks of Denison, Texas, passed away on December 7, 2022, at the age of 80. He was born July 22, 1942, to Barton Howard Brooks and Della Davis, in Midland, TX. Jerry was a graduate of Loop High School, in Loop, TX, which is a small town in Gaines County where he farmed throughout his younger years.

Jerry was a very passionate man and a devout Christian. He met his wife Beverley at the First Baptist Church in Midwest City, OK, where they married on October 20, 1984. He was also a true Dallas Cowboy Fan.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Beverley; Son, Gary Denis Brooks (Marsha) of Seagraves, TX; Daughters, Robbie McCranie (Marcus), of Lewisville, TX and Connie Wallace (Ronnie) of Georgetown, TX; grandchildren, Angela Moore, of Wolfforth, TX, Lauren Jones (Jarrett) of San Antonio, TX, Kevin Wallace (Charlotte) of Georgetown, TX, Melissa Batchelor of Celina, TX and Michael Darring of Irving, TX; 14 great grandchildren and sister, Nancy Dickerson (Richard) of Kingston, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jay Loyd Howard Brooks and sister and brother-in-law, Christene and Isaac LaRue.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 P.M., Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home, 631 W. Woodard Street, Denison, Texas 75020, with Reverend Keith Newsome officiating. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, December 16, 2022, at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home. Following the service, a procession will make its way Cedarlawn Memorial Park, 5805 Texoma Pkwy, Sherman, Tx. 75090 for a committal service

    I am so sorry to hear that Mr. Brooks has passed away, he was such a nice man and had so many wonderful stories about his family. You could tell he really loved his wife, kids, and the Cowboys. He will be missed.
