Susie was Pottsboro’s private investigator! There was not a rock unturned to locate someone come reunion time. I was her classmate and reunion partner. She was unique, and I was blessed to have her in my life.

You could always count on a laugh when you were around Susie. I will miss that laugh of hers. I bet by now she has already found Elvis…if he is really up there! I know she will be watching over her family that she loved so dearly. She will always be a Pottsboro gem!!!

There are no words to describe the depth of sorrow felt in losing Susie from this world, from our community, from our “compound”. She was an unstoppable force of good, kindness, thoughtfulness, beauty inside and out, and an irreplaceable wonderful human. Lord knows we need more Susie’s in this world, but He had her Wings ready although our hearts most certainly are not. Her love for Larry, Julie, Lori and that handsome Max was larger than life itself. We knew her by many names (never knew her first name was Glenda), but most widely known in the compound we live in was “East Locust Karaoke Champ” and with her passing we will now retire the songs only she could do justice to…Skip a Rope and Witchy Woman. Larry, Julie, Lori…you are in our thoughts and prayers. Love, Bob & Sandra

This wonderful woman crammed a 100 years of laughter into a mere 67 years. Rooms, conversations, and the world is a bit dimmer now without her sharp wit. Love you, Aunt Susie. She is the literal “Life of the Party”

This beautiful being came into my life 43 years ago. A mutual love for Elvis Presley brought us together and a loving friendship began that I will cherish forever.

Our hearts are broken for the loss of our sweet Susie! She was so much fun to be around and had such a big heart. Always thinking of others! Volunteered for Meals on Wheels, staying with her Aunt Lorene occasionally and giving of her time to others. She was the life of the Pearson Compound and her beautiful laugh and wit kept everyone laughing and created fun for all. Her coordinating of events (reunions, ELL (East Locust Ladies) Bible Studies with Aunt Judy, annual 4th of July Celebrations and Karaoke Costume Fall parties for the compound. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her sweet family. We lovevyou, Norma and Dennis

Susie was a beautiful person inside and out. Before they moved from the Pottsboro City Limits she would always asked me “How does it feel to live in the country” Because they were thinking about moving. I would always say Great! Then she and Larry moved “to the country” I would ask her and she would say “I love it” with that smile of hers. Now Susie does not live in the country any longer but a more Blessed Place where one day we will meet again.
