After 101 years, 8 months and a day, Nora Faye Horton completed her journey to Heaven. There she was greeted by her mother and father, Fred and Carrie Jones of Pottsboro; husband, Jimmy Horton of San Bernadino, CA; brother-in-law, Tom Horton, Sr. of Redding, CA; brother, Lawrence and his wife, Gwen Jones of Denison; brother, Morris (Frosty) Jones of Pottsboro; sister, Genevive and her husband, H.T. Shaver of Irving, TX.
She is survived by Dale and Patricia Jones of Denison and Tom Horton, Jr. of Palmdale, CA.
She was a member of Wood Street Church of Christ and lived for 23 years at the Renaissance of Sherman. She spent the last 6 months living with her family. A special thanks to her caregiver, Kathy Hughes, AKA Miss Honey and Heart to Heart Hospice. Anyone who knew her knew she was an angel, now she has her wings.
Family and friends will gather to visit from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home in Denison. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Georgetown Cemetery in Pottsboro.
