Barbara Ann DiGangi

May 24, 1946 - January 3, 2021

Barbara Ann DiGangi was born May 24, 1946, in Dallas, Texas to Robert William Burns, Sr., and Annie Ruth (Hodnett). She had 2 siblings: Robert Williams Burns, Jr and a sister, Bobbie Anne Burns, who both died in infancy. She married Joseph Francis DiGangi on Dec 8, 1972. They had one son, Robert Joseph DiGangi, who died on Jan 25, 1976, the same day as his birth. Barbara is survived by her husband, Joe (Sr.) and her stepson, Joe DiGangi (Jr) and his wife, Sue and their family (3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren).
She was a loving “MeeMaw” who always enjoyed going on “DiGangi Adventures!”. Always smiling, she loved her grandkids, and they loved her Snoopy waffles! She enjoyed cooking, traveling, taking pictures, and her dogs Heidi and Buffy. She was involved with the local Veterans of Foreign Wars chapter as well as the local Volunteer Fire Department in Pottsboro. Barbara was a warm and caring person to all who met her.
She and Joe were inseparable, and he misses her terribly. She will be remembered lovingly by all the lives she touched. She died peacefully in the hospital on Jan 3, 2021.
A small graveside service will be held at Restland Cemetery on Monday, January 11, 2021 at 11 a.m. Please follow all current safety guidelines.

Barbara was the sweetest, the most kind-hearted woman, and shared her love with everyone that she surrounded herself with. She and Joe let us borrow movies to watch over the weekend when we were weekender’s. Many blessings to to Joe and the family. Lots of Love, Heather and Garry Mulkey
