Cora “Sue” Brown, a beloved mother and Granny was called to her heavenly home on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at the age of 67. She was born on June 11, 1953 in Hobbs, New Mexico to Benny Joe and Ruthie Mae (Mullins) Lockler. Sue married David Brown of Durant, Oklahoma on April 8, 1973. They were blessed with two sons and one daughter.
Sue worked as a waitress and manager of Pizza Hut in Denison for over 30 years. She has spent her retirement reading books, watching Hallmark movies, taking care of her great-granddogs (she told people this was her job after she retired), and enjoying time with her kids and grandchildren.
Sue is survived by her son, Michael Brown and wife, Jennifer of Denison, Texas; son, Tony Brown and wife, Anita of Bells, Texas; grandchildren, Victoria Lowe and husband, Stephen, Jessica Letz and husband, Jarod, Rebeka, Jonathan, Alyssa, and Jayda Brown, the children of Michael and Jennifer, and Kaitlyn and Lane Brown, the children of Tony and Anita; brothers, Rocky Lockler of Oregon and Steve Lockler of Oklahoma and sisters, Barbara Martin and Melba Bray of Oklahoma; sister-in-law, Lisa Rudd and husband, Wayne of Commerce, Texas.
Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Ruth Lockler; husband, David Brown; her in-laws, Jesse and Wilma Jean Brown; daughter, Stormie Horizon Brown; 2 brothers and 1 sister.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 18th at Cedarlawn Cemetery in Sherman, Texas. Services are under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home in Denison. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or WomenRock Inc.

    David and I lived right down the street from her. Tony and my son James were good friends. Lived to watch her walk to work every day, and I remember being envy of her beautiful hair. A very nice lady.
