Malcome (Red) Fletcher, 83, died at his home in Pottsboro on Thursday, January 24, 2019.
He was born in Bellevue, Texas on May 22, 1935, the son of Dock Franklin and Viola May North Fletcher.
Red and Edna Louise Raines were married on August 15, 1959 in Plano, Texas. He proudly served his country in both the United States Army and the United States Marine Corps. Red was a member of Georgetown Baptist Church, he was a diesel mechanic for Johnson & Johnson and retired after 41 years, he played softball for the Johnson & Johnson team and was a fishing guide on Lake Texoma since 1987.
Family visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Johnson-Moore Pottsboro Chapel. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Johnson-Moore Pottsboro Chapel with Reverend Bobby Hancock officiating. Burial will follow in Georgetown Cemetery. Serving as his pallbearers will be, grandsons, John Wilshire, David Wilshire and Zachary Schrader.
Red is survived by his wife of 59 years, Edna (Raines) Fletcher; daughter, Pamela Fletcher and her partner, Norman Schrader of Union City, PA; brother, Cliffard Fletcher and his wife, Patsy of Lake Livingston, Texas; 4 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home.

    I spent a lot of time at their house during my teen years and many weekends fishing. My husband loved this man and every time we saw Red and Edna he couldn’t stop talking about our fishing trips.
