Arlene Brown

September 11, 1938 - January 31, 2024

Arlene Marie Brown, born on September 11, 1938, departed this world to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus on January 31, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and cherished memories. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a doting grandmother, and a beloved sister. Arlene’s passing has left a void in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Arlene is survived by her loving husband, Wally Brown, with whom she shared a lifetime of joys and sorrows. She leaves behind 4 children who meant the world to her: son Randy Brown and his wife Patricia, daughter Lauri Smith and her husband Scott, daughter Christina Hobbs, and daughter Cindi Humble and her husband Don.

Arlene’s legacy extends to her 20 adoring grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.

She is also survived by her sister, Kathy Bolte, and her husband George.

Arlene’s life was marked by her deep love for her family, and her role as a mother and grandmother brought her immeasurable happiness. She found solace and joy in the company of her loved ones, creating a home filled with warmth and laughter. Arlene loved reading, spending time with her great grandchildren, and serving The Lord in her church where she enjoyed working with children and Monday Morning Ministry.

Arlene was preceded in death by 3 children; sons Jeff Brown and Gregg Brown, and her daughter Denise Brown. She also mourned the loss of her sister, Marge, and grandchildren Alexander Brown and Austin Brown.

In this time of sorrow, let us remember Arlene for the love she shared, the wisdom she imparted, and the joy she brought into the lives of everyone around her. May she find eternal peace, reunited with those who went before her.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM, Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Hagerman Baptist Church, 4619 Refuge Rd, Sherman, Texas 75092.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Hagerman Baptist Church in Arlene’s name, continuing her legacy of compassion and love.
