Rebecca Louise Gallia, age 78, of Denison, Texas passed away on May 13, 2023. Rebecca was born on April 6, 1945, in Dallas, Texas, to Harry George Gilliam Jr. and Mary Louise Gilliam. She married Ronald Gallia on November 30, 1963, in Dallas, Texas.
Becki was an amazing wife, mother and sister. She worked most of her life as a Claims Examiner for Blue Cross Blue Shield. She had a tremendous talent for drawing with pencil and painting on canvas. She enjoyed doing many different crafts and artwork. She had a great passion for sewing and had sewn her daughter Amy’s pageant clothes as well as clothing for many others. She had a love for animals, especially her cats.
Becki is survived by her brother, Richard A. Gilliam and wife Judy of Thorndale, Pennsylvania; sister, Toni Lynne Messer and husband Frank, of Denison Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald W. Gallia; daughter, Amy C. Fairchild; and parents, Harry G. Gilliam Jr. and Mary L. Gilliam.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home, 631 W. Woodard St. Denison, Texas 75020. The family will receive friends for visitation at 10:00 am, one hour prior to the service. Brother Todd Catteau will be officiating. Becki will be laid to rest at Oakridge Cemetery, 5113 FM 120, Denison, Texas 75021, following the service.
