Bertie Taylor

Bertie Jean Taylor, 87 of Pottsboro, passed away with her loving family by her side on Monday, February 17, 2014.
She was born on August 23, 1926 in Joplin, Missouri to Bert and Faye Rawlinson Moser. Bertie married Garlin Taylor on February 18, 1945 in Ada, OK and began a rewarding journey of being a cherished homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. Garlin preceded her in death in Kingston, OK in 1997. Her proud legacy lovingly refers to her as “Nannie”. Bertie was of the Baptist faith and will be missed dearly by all of those blessed to have known and loved her.
A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
Survivors include her granddaughter Brenda Taylor and partner Julie Griffith of Pottsboro; grandson, Brent Taylor and wife, Shannon of Hot Springs Village, AR; great-grandchildren, Rebecca Cannon of Pottsboro; and Chassie, Savannah, Trent, Tyler and Cody.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Garlin Marion Taylor; and son, Garlin Ray Taylor.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Bertie’s name to an animal shelter of your choice.
