Betty McBee Burks

Pottsboro- Betty McBee Burks, 77, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at Seven Oaks Nursing Home in Bonham.
Visitation will be 6-7 p.m. Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Johnson-Moore Pottsboro Chapel.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 24, 2012 at Johnson-Moore Pottsboro Chapel . David Eenigenburg will offficate and burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Rodney Malone, Jerry Perkins, John McBee, Thomas McBee, Matt McBee and Daniel McBee.
Betty was born on February 23, 1935 in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of John Oliver and Edna Marie Talley McBee. She was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas. Betty married Johnnie Lee Burks on January 4, 1957 in Dallas. She was a homemaker and a mother first. She was a member of Community Bible Church in Van Alstyne.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Johnnie Burks of Bonham; son, Philip Burks of Bonham; daughters, Scherri Perkins and her husband, Jerry of Pottsboro, Texas and Carolyn Malone and her husband, Rodney of Bonham; brother, John O. McBee, II of Quitman, Arkansas; grandchildren, Michelle Hedgecock, Derek Hedgecock, Chris Burks, Hayley Burks and Rodney Malone, Jr.
