Billie Arthur, 77 of Denison was called home in the early morning hours on Monday, October14, 2013 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Chapel on the Hill Mausoleum at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman, with Reverend Tommy Flood officiating.
She was born on April 4, 1936 in Denison to Amos Noel and Kathleen O’Quinn Dunaway and attended Denison High School. She married the love of her life, Earl Max Arthur on April 2, 1955 in Denison. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Billie will be remembered as a feisty, fun person who loved her family, she was an expert on current events and loved to debate politics. The family would like to thank The Terrace at Denison for providing exceptional care to Billie the last 4 years of her life and to Home Hospice of Grayson County for making her final weeks comfortable and peaceful.
Mrs. Arthur is survived by her daughter, Kathy Trujillo and her husband John, of Denison; one grandson, Jeffrey Trujillo; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Max Arthur; and her parents, Amos Noel and Kathleen Dunaway, sister Peggy Waldrop, infant brother Robert Dunaway and nephew Roy Kuykendall.
