Carl E Whaley

DENISON-
Carl E. Whaley, 90 of Denison passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Mullican Care Center in Savoy.
He was born on June 16, 1924 in Denison to Lewis and Lillie Stephens Whaley. He graduated from Denison High School and worked many years for Denison ISD in many different areas but primarily as a bus driver. He married Laura Irene Dunn in Denison on January 28, 1950. She preceded him in death on November 21, 1999. Mr. Whaley was a member and served as a Deacon at Emmanuel Baptist Church. One of his passion in life was raising cattle and spending many hours attending to them.
Survivors include his daughters, Lillie (Rhonnie) Pritchett of Josephine, Texas, Elaine (Ronney) Jones of Gerald, Missouri, and Carol (Don) Attaway of Caddo Mills, Texas; 7 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Whaley; son, Roger Whaley; step-son, Jerry Baugus; sister, Marie Williams; and his nephew.
Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Fairview Cemetery with Reverend Earl Oglesbee officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home.
