Carl James Danielsen, 65, of Denison passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at The Medical Center of Plano from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the memorial service that will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday January 11, 2014 at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home Chapel. Brother Mark Mitchell will officiate with memories shared by Horace Groff, Terry Griffin and Fred Pilkilton, Jr. After the service, a gathering in Carl’s memory will be held at Country Java on Main St. and all are invited to attend.
Carl was born on April 27, 1948 in Denison to Albert B. and Murvelle Bean Danielsen. He graduated from Denison High School in 1968. Carl was a member of the First Baptist Church in Denison and previously attended the First Presbyterian Church where he was a long time member while growing up and faithfully attending with his family. He loved his church families and was very involved in helping and serving them. Carl worked at various jobs including Danielsen Construction Company, Blue Moon Antiques store and most recently, the produce department in Wal-Mart. He was a devoted animal and music lover, and spent many evenings downtown enjoying the company of his many friends and the Music on Main festivities. He loved the Rialto Theater and also looked forward to his morning social coffee gatherings at Country Java. Carl was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all of his friends and merchants located on Main Street.
Survivors include his brother, Albert Danielsen of Plano; cousins, Michael Nix of Bedford, Tim Danielson of Cedar Creek, Jerry Danielson of Ada, OK., Mike (Rip) Danielson of Idaho, Bill Davis of Palm Beach, FL., Geraldine Coe of Denison; constant companion, Kasy; and a huge host of friends including his special friends, Betty and Phil Pecoraro. He was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Energizers Sunday School Class
in care of The First Baptist Church, 601 W. Woodard, Denison, TX 75020.

    Dear Albert, I am so sorry for the loss fo your brother, You were always like one of my children when you were in high school….I just had a pacemaker put in yesterday and am fine. however I am unable to come to family night.
