Charles Holmes, 60, died at his home in Sherman on Saturday, April 16, 2016.
Charles was born on March 1, 1956 in Van Alstyne, Texas, the son of Kennith J. and Andrea Alvarez Holmes. He was educated in Kubasaki, Japan. He served in the United States Marine Corps. He and Janet Patricia Radigan were married on July 13, 1981 in Sherman, Texas. He worked as a maintenance mechanic at Sherman Wire and was a member of the VFW Post #2772 in Sherman.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Holmes of Sherman; son, Emory Charles Holmes of Sherman; daughters, Camille Jean-Anne Holmes Harrison of San Clemente, CA and Dion Marie Holmes of Sherman; brothers, Samuel Perez, Jr. of Denison, Kennith Holmes, Jr. of Sherman, Bobby Holmes of Sherman and Frankie Holmes of Denison; sisters, Maria Elena Perez of Bella Vista, AR and Brenda Kay Holmes of Denison and 14 grandchildren.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Daniel David Holmes.
Memorial services will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home. Visitation will be 3 p.m. – 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday. Pastor Arthur Horn will officiate.
Burial will be in Dallas – Fort Worth National Cemetery on May 28, 2016.
