DENISON
Crys Guthrie, 37, passed away peacefully in his sleep Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at his home in Denison.
Crys was born November 22, 1978 In Denison, TX to Michael and Donna (Brock) Guthrie. He attended Denison High School and later Grayson County College. He was 2 classes away from his associates degree and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa. Crys worked at Home Depot. His joy in life was to make everyone laugh and was extremely dedicated to and loved his family and friends.
Crys is survived by his parents, Michael and Donna Guthrie of Denison; brothers Shawn Guthrie of Whitesboro, TX, Mike Hall and wife Shelia of Denison and James Hawkins and wife Lanna of Eureka Springs. AR; sister, Athena Guthrie of Denison; grandparents Willis Brock, George Guthrie and Dona Vest; uncle, Davis Brock; aunts, Darla Brock, Adonna Frosch, Della Guthrie and Wanda Anderson; nephews Blake Guthrie and Nathan Hall; nieces Kassi Guthrie and Charlotte Hawkins and cousins Nick and Adam Brock.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Dorothy Brock; step-grandmother Doris Brock and uncle, Claude Caudill.
A Family Memorial to celebrate Crys’ life will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 1873 FM 1753 in Denison, TX. All family and friends are welcome.
The family has requested no flowers. Donations can be made via GoFundMe and Woodforest Bank.
