David Paul Pearson was born on August 4, 1953, in Denison, Texas, to Sam Pearson and LaDora Williams. He passed away peacefully on March 29, 2025.
David was a dedicated and hardworking individual who graduated from Pottsboro ISD. He had a generous spirit and loved giving small gifts to the members of his church, showing his thoughtfulness and care for those around him. David’s cousin, Brenda, was like another sibling to him, and he considered her an angel in his life.
A passionate fan of NASCAR and a devoted admirer of Elvis Presley, David’s collections were a reflection of his interests—filled with baseball cards, NASCAR memorabilia, and anything related to Elvis. David was a faithful member of the Church of Christ in Pottsboro, where he was known for his kindness and giving nature.
He is survived by his two sisters, Joyce Kent and her husband Carl of Pottsboro, Texas, and Jo Ann Woyewodzic of Pottsboro, Texas. He also leaves behind his beloved nieces and nephews: Brian Kent and his wife Tammy; Brandon Kent and his wife Mondi; Blair Kent and his wife Roxy all of Pottsboro, Texas; Robin Jaramillo and her husband Mike of Cortez, Colorado; Kelly Woyewodzic of Los Angeles, California; and Chris Woyewodzic of Tucson, Arizona. Additionally, he is survived by 11 great-nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Sam Pearson and LaDora Pearson, as well as his brother-in-law, Bob Woyewodzic.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Johnson-Moore Chapel, 511 FM 120, Pottsboro, Texas 75076.
