Deborah Elizabeth Ramey, of Pottsboro, Texas now walks among the heavenly gardens with Jesus as she gained her angel wings on Friday, October 27th, 2017.
Deborah was born in Dallas, Texas on September 30, 1952, the daughter of Richard Corliss and Merry Elizabeth Weaver Small. She graduated from Bryan Adams High School in Dallas. Deborah and James David Ramey were married on July 11, 1970 in Dallas.
Deborah was a loving wife, mother of 4, and grandmother to seven sweet kids, Logan, Isabella, Reed, Amos, Tobias, Miriam and baby Lopez whom love her greatly.
She is survived by her loving husband, James D. Ramey of Pottsboro; daughters Lisa Ann Wheeler of Bedford, TX, Christine Sammit and her husband, George of Plano, TX, and Dawn Lopez and her husband, Daniel of Melissa, TX; her son, James Daniel Ramey of Pottsboro; her mother, Merry Small of Ennis, TX; sisters, Sara Baker of Garland, TX, Ginger Thomas of Ennis, TX, and Christina Johnston of Lewisville, TX; brother Michael Small of Coppell, TX; sister’s-in-law Peggy Zorn and Debbie Ramey and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father, Richard Small and her brothers, Walter Dale and Richard Corliss; mother-in-law, Margaret Ramey; father-in-law, James L. Ramey and brother-in-law, Rick Zorn. Deborah was a faithful and baptized member of High Pointe Church of Christ in McKinney, Texas and frequented Pottsboro Church of Christ.
Visitation for Deborah will be held at High Pointe Church of Christ in McKinney, Texas on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 9 a.m. with a funeral ceremony at 10 a.m. followed by a fellowship lunch. Brother Brian Tinsley will officiate. Serving as her pallbearers are Jason Lokey, Paul Newhouse, Steve Pendergrass, Jim Barr, Stan Sherwood and Mark Irwin. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. at Georgetown Cemetery in Pottsboro, Texas with Brother Kevin Shimp, Brother Gregg Knight and David DeFratus officiating.
Deborah had an infinite passion for the Let’s Start Talking Ministry and would be greatly honored to be memorialized in support of this ministry. Deborah and family have always and will continue to be eternally grateful for all of the prayers, support, love and generosities over the years!
