Dee J. (D.J.) Brown, 56, died Tuesday, November 21, 2017 in Joplin, Missouri.
D.J. was born on August 2, 1961 in San Bernardino, CA. His parents were John William and Nora Mae Blakely-Geyer Brown and they preceded him in death.
He attended Murray State College and worked as a trucker for TDC Trucking. He loved to fish, if he couldn’t fish he was watching it on television.
D.J. is survived by his wife, Gena Armstrong Brown; son, Dylan Brown and daughter, Jordan Williams and her husband, Triston, all of Joplin, Missouri; brothers, Dennis Brown, David Brown, Derrick Brown, Rick Cooper-Green, Billie Brown and Elbert Cooper; sisters, Cheryl Cooper, Christina Cooper and Epsie Cooper; and two grandchildren, Shiloh and Aiden Williams.
Johnson-Moore Funeral Home will be open Sunday from 12 noon until 6 p.m. for signing the register book and viewing.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. (one hour prior to the service) Monday, November 27, 2017 at Fairview Cemetery Chapel. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 27, 2017 at Fairview Cemetery Chapel. Harold Wagoner will officiate.
Goodbye is not forever.
