Donald Paul Jeffcoat Sr. “Skeeter”
July 31, 1959 – April 20, 2025
Donald Paul Jeffcoat Sr. lived a full life marked by hard work, fierce love, quick wit, and a faith that grew deeper with time.
He was a master builder, a truck driver, and a man who could teach himself anything he set his mind to. From hauling bulls across the country to building homes that would last forever, his work ethic was unmatched. He passed that trait—and his legendary stubborn streak—on to all of his kids. Lazy was never in his vocabulary.
More than anything, He loved his family and friends. He often said his greatest joy was seeing the people his children had become. In the final months of his life, he shared deep conversations about life, love, regret, and God. He said his biggest regret was spending too long trying to make a living and not enough time making a life. His advice: find your balance, and get busy living.
In the last months of his life, he found peace in his faith. He shared scripture, prayed with his family, and found comfort in God’s presence.
In lieu of a traditional obituary, we choose to remember Skeeter by sharing the heart of who he was—not just the facts, but the fun, the faith, and the lessons he left behind.
While the family wouldn’t mind a few plants as a gift to always remember him, he would have appreciated donations being made to his church Red River Cowboy Church.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 25 at 11:00 AM at Red River Cowboy Church in Denison TX, 3800 FM 691, Denison, TX 75092.
He was one of a kind, and we sure will miss him.
