DENISON
Donnie Sue Mowdy Ward passed away peacefully in her own home Friday, December 18, 2009. She was a career educator having taught at Denison Senior High School and Hughes Junior High School. She was a contributing member of the Oklahoma Historical Society with a great interest in Native American culture and her own Native American heritage. In recent years, two of her greatest passions were reading and her granddaughter.
She is survived by her two sons and one granddaughter. Kelly Cooper and wife Sandy of McKinney, Texas; Travis Ward, wife Margaret and granddaughter Celia of Jackson, Wyoming.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation in her name to your local public library. Her sense of humor and strength of personality will be greatly missed by thoses who knew and loved her.
