In Loving Memory of Dorian Saroka

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Dorian Saroka. Born in Denison, TX, on July 31, 2003, to Michael Saroka Jr. and Annette Nira. Dorian was a beloved son, brother, and friend.

Dorian graduated from Pilot Point High School and subsequently began his college journey at Grayson County College. His love for lakes and oceans brought him to a career at the marina where he worked as a boat mechanic. He was also a member of Pioneer Baptist Church.

Dorian greatly enjoyed being on the water and recently learned to surf. He had a passion for automobiles and found peace working on cars and attending car shows. He also enjoyed skateboarding and riding motorcycles.

He is survived by his father, Michael Saroka Jr. and partner Jodi Baze of Pottsboro, TX; his mother, Annette Nira and stepfather, Ramiro Nira Jr. of Valley View, TX; his brothers, Dawson Saroka, Dawson Purdue, Trevor Travis, Gabriel Nira and Adrian Nira; grandmothers, Marilyn Miller and Marilyn Degreenia; grandfather, Michael Saroka Sr.; aunts, Mary Reasoner, Coreena Stimel, Michelle Garner and Nichole Tullous; uncle, C.J. Miller; and numerous cousins.

Dorian will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him, but his memory will stay alive in everyone that loved and cherished him.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 6, 2024, from 4-6 PM at Johnson-Moore Chapel, 511 W. Hwy 120, Pottsboro, TX 75076.

Dorian, I love you more than words could ever describe. Thank you for coming to see us on Tuesday… I am so thankful that I got to squeeze you and tell you that I love you, one last time. If I had only known….. I would have made it last a little longer. Until I see you again, rest in peace my sweet nephew. -your favorite Aunt-

Annette, nothing I can say, could make this better. He loved you and he knew you loved him! I love you and will always be here for you. I am only a phone call, speeding ticket, and maybe a flight away…. but I would climb mountains to just come give you a hug. I love you, stay strong. -your favorite sister!
