Dorothy Gill Castleberry, 81, of Pottsboro died Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Pottsboro church of Christ with Brother Robert Sholl officiating.
Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Moore Memorial Gardens in Arlington, Texas.
Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 pm at Johnson-Moore Pottsboro Chapel.
Dorothy was born March 1, 1931 in Bogata, Texas to John B. and Leola Jones Gill. She is a graduate of Bogata High School in Bogata, Texas. She married Alton E. Castleberry on April 2, 1955 in Grand Prairie, Texas. She was retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and a member of Pottsboro church of Christ, where she was very active for more than 30 years. She served as an election judge for Grayson County and loved working in her yard.
She is survived by her husband, Alton Castleberry of Pottsboro; daughter, Kelli Thompson of Pottsboro; sister, Jo Ann Pike of Arlington, Texas; four grandchildren, Taylor Thompson, Cameron Thompson, Kendall Jo Thompson and Colby Thompson; and two great-grandchildren, Price Burge and Aislynn Thompson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law, Gwynne Pike.
