Douglas James Pape, 58 year old Pottsboro resident died at his home on Thursday, July 10, 2014.
Memorial services will be 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Johnson-Moore Pottsboro Chapel with Reverend Bobby Hancock officiating.
Doug was born on January 5, 1956 in Houston, Texas, the son of Horace James and Mary Bullard Pape. He was educated at McCullum High School in San Antonio, Texas. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Grayson County Pct 4, was a member of American Legion Post 231 in Pottsboro and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Alice Branson of Seguin, Texas, his companion, Connie Morrison of Pottsboro, sons, DJ Pape, II of Whitewright, Chris Pape and his wife, Ryan of Ringwood, Oklahoma and Andrew Pape and his wife, Stacy of Pottsboro; daughter, Christina Stephens and her husband, Jason of Whitewright; mother of his children, Cheryl Ann Roberts; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Horace Pape, brother, Russell Pape and niece, Sadra Pape.
Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home.
