With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Walter Earl Davis, who departed from this world on March 21, 2024, in Dallas, Texas. Born on October 12, 1952, in Welch, West Virginia, Earl’s life was a testament to hard work, love, and the pursuit of simple joys.
Earl’s journey included spending 15 years as a coal miner, before transitioning into a new career path as an airline mechanic, where his skills and dedication shone brightly.
Beyond his professional life, Earl found immense pleasure in the tranquility of the outdoors, particularly through his love for fishing, golfing and hunting.
Earl’s greatest legacy lies in the love he shared with his family. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 46 years, Helen Davis, and three adoring children: daughters Malisa Bivins (husband Tray), Brandy Davis, and son Michael Davis (wife Amanda). His pride and joy extended to his four grandchildren: Gracie, Sara, Chloe, and Colton, who brought boundless happiness into his life.
In addition to his immediate family, Earl is survived by his sister, Robin Hunt, and her spouse Kubie, along with numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Lawrence Davis and Ester Maria Blevins, whose legacy of love and resilience he carried with him throughout his life.
Though Earl may no longer walk beside us, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. May he rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love that he so freely gave during his time on earth.
