Eugene Richard Kaes

E.R. “Dick” Kaes, 79, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2015 at his home.
He was born on February 16, 1936 in Hamilton County, Ohio to John R. and Mary Margaret Kurtzman Kaes. He attended Xavier University in Cincinnati and then served in the United States Navy. And later retired from GTE after 38 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pottsboro; the Elks Lodge #238 Pottsboro; and the Evening Optimist Club of Garland, TX. Mr. Kaes married Oleta Miller and they spent 56 years of marriage together. He enjoyed life and had many different hobbies and interests. But once he found Christ that became his most important life endeavor.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 20, 2015 at 12:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Pottsboro with Reverend Josh Burton officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Oleta Kaes of Pottsboro; sons, Michael Kaes and wife Kim of El Campo, TX., and David Kaes of Loveland, CO.; daughter, Michelle “Shelly” Kaes of Frisco, TX.; sister, Joan Miller and husband William of Moscow, OH.; sister-in-law, Mary Kaes Judy of Littleton, CO.; and grandchildren, Aaron, Zachary, Benjamin, Luke and Mark Kaes of Colorado, and Jamie Orono and husband Modesto of Dallas. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Andrew Kaes.
