Gayla Sue Flowers, 79, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Texoma Medical Center.
Sue was born in White Rose, Oklahoma on February 18, 1942, the daughter of J.C. “Mutt” and Opal (Roberson) Wilson. She graduated from high school in Thackerville, Oklahoma. Sue and John Flowers were married on June 1, 1960 in Marietta, Oklahoma.
She retired as a hairdresser for Joy’s Hair Styling and Salon 2330. Sue loved to fish and golf and was a member of Parkside Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, John of the home; son, Johnny Alan Flowers of Denison; brother, Rod Wilson of Thackerville, OK and two grandchildren, Jennifer and Tim Flowers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, C.A. Wilson and son, Jeff Flowers.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home 1 hour prior to the service at 11:00 a.m. April 20, 2021 with Reverend Jerry Coffman officiating. Serving as her pallbearers are, Mike Henry, Tim Flowers, Johnny Smith and Delbert Vest.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to DAWG Denison Animal Welfare Group, P.O. Box 1330, Denison, TX 75021.
Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home.
