I remember how my beloved brother in law would tell people how him and my sister Georgie met. HE would start out by telling this story. “Well I was walking down Alcazar street in Albuquerque, with my bible in my hand when four girls yelled “Hey soldier boy come over here and we’ll show you a good time”.When in reality he met my family through my sister Martha. I always gave him a swift sock on the arm for that story!. After him and my sister were married, they moved to Hobb’s NM. He told my husband Arley that there was a lot of work in Hobb’s so to come on down there and work in the oil fields. So off we went to the oil fields in Hobb’s. Well we liked to have all starved to death, six people living in a one bedroom house. He forgot he had invited my brother Leon and his wife to live with us to!. If it had not been for Audie’s job with Coke a Cola we would have all starved .We lived on Coke and grits four months.!! Needless to say we never followed him again but it just so happened we wound up in San Diego, at the same time. Us four had lots of fun playing Wahoo. He always ended up being my partner .Audie would never cheat, even though we knew Arley and George was doing it, so I gave up on him and went out and got a four sided six die and cheated with out him! I didn’t tell him for a long time, then when i told him about it, he just had to tell on me! The four of us was always laughing about something he would crack some smart remarks and we would laugh for a half hour! I Will miss him terrible knowing that he is gone. Life will never be the same for us. We lost a good friend and family member all in one day. . REST IN PEACE OUR GOOD BUDDY. ..Shirley and Arley Stump.
