J C Coker

March 14, 1938 - May 10, 2016

Jack “JC” Coker was born March 14, 1938 in Denison, Texas. He passed away May 10, 2016 at his home in North Richland Hills, Texas.
JC was a hardworking man and worked as a machine operator at Capital Wire and Cable for over 35 years.
JC was a loving and giving family man. Although he never had any children of his own, he helped raise and loved his nephews and nieces as if they were his own.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jasper Coker; his mother, Ida Mae Coker; two brothers, Willie Ronald and Walter Donald Coker.
He is survived by one brother, James Coker of North Richland Hills, Texas; four nephews; five nieces; 14 great nieces and nephews; 13 great-great nieces and nephews and many more loved ones.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Johnson-Moore Pottsboro Chapel. Family visitation will be held from 12-2 p.m. on Sunday before the service at Johnson-Moore Pottsboro Chapel.
Burial will follow in Georgetown Cemetery.

    J C and I were great pals at Golden Rule School & DHS. We visited in each others homes many times. I tried to find him many times, but failed. I am so glad to know he had so many who loved him. I just found out late today 6 p.m. Sunday. J. C. & I were the only two boys left of the Golden Rule graduating class of 1952 at Golden Rule. I shall miss him a lot. He & I were in each others homes many times I our young days. I remember His beautiful Mom and James very well. Sorry, I missed funeral. Billy Wayne Holcomb
