    says:

Jim and his family were our neighbors on Baxley Drive in Carrollton years ago. We well remember his dear little boys (now, of course, grown men with kids of their own). We also have four sons, so we can relate more than ever. Our high school graduating class of 1959 has posted Jim’s obituary on its website and Facebook page. We ask the Lord to grant great comfort for his family. He was a fine man. Blessings, David and Rose (Pugh) Whitington

    says:

My sympathies to Tommy and all his family. When I was in the 8th grade at DeWitt Perry, I worked in the office. Mr. Bronaugh was always kind, humerous and considerate. I was extremely shy and he went out of his way to put me at ease. One day after sneezing and sneezing for a good twenty minutes, he finally asked me what perfume I was wearing. When I told him, he said he was allergic to it and to please not wear it any more. I was mortified and felt terrible, especially after he had to leave the office for the remainder of the period. Seeing my discomfort, he assured me he had work to do out of the office – which was probably untrue. I remember him with fondness and am saddened at his passing, even though I have not seen him in well over 40 years. May God grant his family comfort during this time of sorrow. Jim and Carolyn were the best neighbors/friends to my parents for all the years they lived in Pottsboro and they’ve been wonderful to me since Mother and Daddy have been gone. Jim would always call and say “This is your nosy neighbor calling just to check on you”. He was such a caring man. He will be missed. Rhonda Whitmore Pottsboro, TX
