DENISON
James D. “J.D.” Truelock, 84, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017. He was the son of Edward and Kate (Kirkpatrick) Truelock and was born January 11, 1933 in Earth, TX. On July 6, 1959, he married Sharron McCool in Muleshoe, TX. James joined the Army and served in Korea. He was a licensed electrician and retired from Oscar Mayer Corporation. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Denison.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Stockton Building, Donell Dr., Calera, OK.
James is survived by his wife, Sharron Truelock of Denison, TX; son, Coy and his wife, Annette of Tolar, TX; daughters MelDon Townsend and her husband, Gene of Calera, OK and Mana Shaw and her husband, Tom of Krum, TX; brother, David Truelock of Woodbine, TX; grandchildren Cassey Townsend, Trent Davis, Dallis Davis and her husband, Jeremy and Shay Butler and her husband, Matt; great-grandchildren Kinlee, Kamdyn and Kreed Shires.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Salvation Army, 5700 Texoma Parkway, Sherman, TX 75090 or to the donors favorite Grayson County Food Bank.
His family would like to express their appreciation to Mike and TJ for their support during his hospital stay. A big thank you to family in Clovis, NM for all the support and help.
