Jessie Colleen Zamora, age 86, of Denison, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2025. She was born on June 20, 1938, in Linn, Oklahoma, to Roy A. Landmon and Beulah J. Landmon. Jessie lived a life filled with love, dedication, and faith, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A retired cashier with Kroger stores, Jessie spent many years serving her community with a warm smile and a kind heart. She was a devoted member of the Trinity Lighthouse Church in Denison, where her faith and love for others shone brightly.
Jessie is survived by her son, Marty Zamora and wife Lisa; her daughter, Tammie McCraw, Bobby McCraw; her sister, Wanda Sue Landmon; as well as her beloved grandchildren: Christina Cranford and husband Chance, Ashley McWilliams and husband Dustin, Joshua McCraw and wife Mandi, Jessica Crow and husband Clint, James McCraw and wife Ta’a, Amber Sherrill and husband Bry and Gabriella Arriaga and husband Ernesto. She was also the proud grandmother of seventeen great-grandchildren and was blessed with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Beulah Landmon; one brother; three sisters; and her beloved husband, James G. Zamora.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Beacon Hill for the great care given to their mother. Jessie made sure to take care of her caregivers with snacks, drinks and care packages.
A graveside service to honor Jessie’s life will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Denison, Texas.
Jessie will forever be remembered for her loving spirit, her strong faith, and her deep commitment to family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and compassion that will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
