Jimmy Don Wright, 74, died on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison.
Jimmy was born in Durant, Oklahoma on January 20, 1947, the son of Nelson Lee and Juanita Rae (Harrington) Wright. Jimmy was a 1965 graduate of Achille High School, a member of Kemp Baptist Church and Achille Lodge #454 AF&AM. He retired from Pillsbury after 38 years and was a rancher. Jimmy Don and Ronda Lake Foster were married on October 25, 1992. They started their adventures together on the Rondorosa when they were married under a bois d’arc tree in their pasture, tailgating with a potluck and offering carriage rides in the carriage that brought the bride to the wedding.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Ronda Wright of the home; sons, Rickey Don Wright of Durant and Cory Todd Foster and his wife, Mandy of Denison; sisters, Morene Phipps and her husband, Thomas, Shirley Forbis and her husband, Gary and Joetta Sanders all of Durant; four grandchildren, Shelbi Phelps, Jaron Phelps, Macy Foster and Sophey Don Foster and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Brenda Phelps and brother, Jerry Wright.
