John Douglas Williams

John D. Williams, 73 passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and friends on the morning of Tuesday, June 8th. John was born December 15, 1947, in Bloomington, Illinois, the son of John Henry and Amelita Kathryn (Bullard) Williams. Graduated 1966 at Denison High School and married the love of his love, Carolyn Elkins on July 3, 1970 in Denison, Texas. John was a chemical technician for many years until retirement at Air Liquide/ Texas Instruments and was of Baptist faith. John is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn of 50 years, daughter Amy and her husband Kevin Lovelace of Cartwright,OK., a brother Mark Williams of Choctaw, OK and a sister Carol Williams of Ft Worth, Texas along with two wonderful grandchildren, Zackary Lovelace and Madisyn Lovelace both of Cartwright, OK. John is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Jeff Williams of Denison, Tx. The Williams family will have a celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to American Cancer Society in his honor. Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson Moore Funeral Home.
