John was a great guy, and loving Brother. He always had a smile and good word for me. I have many many found memories of our relationship as brothers. The day before he passed I told him I loved him. I am happy he knew he was loved by his younger brother. Life in the military and later work keep us apart a lot, but he was always in my thoughts and prayers. When he become ill, I told him to call upon his savior, and that God has his back. We spoke often during his illness. It was God’s will to take him home for eternity. Of course we are all heart broken and saddened. To Carolyn, you were the love of his life. Amy he loved you and was very proud of what you and Kevin have achieved together. I told him, after I had my grandson, I thought he was crazy for all the money and time he spent on his first grandchild, then we had our grandson. We both laughed about this, for now I was in the Grandfather Club. Zac and Maddy, you lite up his life and he loved you greatly. I will see you in heaven brother, because Jesus died for us; all we had to do is believe in Him.

Carolyn, I’m so sorry to hear that John passed away. I loved that we all met at TI and remained friends! It didn’t matter how often we saw each other, we would just pick up our conversation like we never stopped. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Love to you and your family.
