Larry Gene Thomas, age 67, of Denison, Texas, passed away on September 24, 2022. He was born on December 22, 1954, in Littlefield, TX. to James Bud (J.B.) Thomas and Evelyn Hicks. He married Mary Jacklyn Clark in 1992, in Denison, TX.
Larry grew up in Earth, TX where he graduated from Spring Lake-Earth High School. He also attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX. He was a fan of all sports and enjoyed his time fishing and hunting. Throughout his life Larry worked hard as a cattle rancher as well as a farmer.
Larry is survived by his sons, Robert Thomas and wife Sarah, of Denison, TX and Dakota Thomas and fiancé Elana of Colorado; grand daughter, Mary Thomas, of Denison, TX; one grandchild expected in February 2023; brother, James Thomas and wife Sue, of Durant, Oklahoma and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Thomas; parents, J.B. and Evelyn Thomas; brother, Ronnie Thomas and sisters, Kristi Guiou and Pamela Thomas.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 6-8 pm, Monday, October 3, 2022, at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home, 631 W. Woodard St., Denison, Tx. There will be a Graveside Service held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2022, at Cedarlawn Memorial Park, 5805 Texoma Pkwy, Sherman, Tx. 75090.
