Louise Higginbotham Ridling

Louise (Higginbotham) Ridling, 94, passed away at the Latimer Nursing Home in Wilburton, OK Saturday, September 30, 2017.
Louise was born January 13, 1923in King, Arkansas to Henry Curry and Love (Davis) Stringfellow. She graduated from Coleman High School in Coleman, OK. She married James Ridling on July 8, 1970 in Idabel, OK.
Mrs. Ridling worked for Texas Instruments where she was sent to New York City for extensive training and returned to Sherman as the first woman to work in the Sherman plant. As her hobby, she raised day lilies and hybrid irises. She was a member of the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church and lived in Grayson County most of her life until spending her later years in Wilburton, OK.
Services will be held Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Johnson-Moore Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jim Branscum officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Donald McDaniel, Larry McDaniel, Rogene Logan, Jerry Pigg, Richard Bush and George Wayne Johnson.
 Louise is survived by her sons, Johnny Higginbotham and wife, Vilma of Wilburton, OK and Ricky Higginbotham of Denison; sister, Annette Garling of Rogers, AR; four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband James who passed away in 1990; two brothers and three sisters.
