Margaret Lee Matthews Hosey, 32, became one of God’s Angels on Friday, August 26, 2016.
Margaret was born on November 29, 1983 in Denison, Texas to Nancy Orrick and Joseph Burley Matthews, Jr. She attended Denison schools. She married Christopher Hosey on March 22, 2006. They have three children, a daughter, Syerra, a son Christopher and Chris’s oldest daughter, Sydney, whom Margaret loved as her own.
Margaret was a loving daughter, wife, mother and sister. She loved her children more than life.
She will be Greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Margaret is survived by her husband and children. Her parents, Nancy and Russ Geiger; her sister, Tiffany Matthews; three brothers, Jerry and his wife, Alicia, Billy Joe and his wife, Jenny and Joshua and his wife, Whitney; her grandparents, Margaret Orrick and Burley and Margie Matthews; mother and father-in-law, Mark and Cynthia Taylor and MeMaw. Also surviving are, sister and brother-in-law, Kenneth and Angela Tate; aunts, Vicki and her husband, Donnie Russell, Michelle and her husband, Lewis Tatum, Lisa Polston and fiancé, Doug Miller; Janet and her husband, Dale Putman and uncle, Chip and his wife, Nina Matthews; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, especially her best friend, Shelly Balderas.
Margaret was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Burley Matthews, Jr; grandfather, William Orrick, uncle, Billy Orrick; nephew, Ashton Scott Matthews and niece, Alexis Paige Ailey.
Serving as her pallbearers are, Jerry Matthews, Billy Joe Matthews, Joshua Matthews, Tiffany Matthews, Justin Russell and Jarod Wilbur.
A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home. Family and friend visitation will follow from 6:30 – 8:00.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at the St. Patrick Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home.
