Darwin Wayne Weatherman Sr., born on December 14th, 1937, in Brownwood, Texas, peacefully passed away at his home in Pottsboro, Texas, on March 14th, 2024. He was the cherished son of Martin Hill and Mildred Weatherman.
Darwin embarked on a journey through life that was characterized by love, dedication, and adventure. In Pottsboro, he forged a beautiful life alongside his beloved wife, Carol Weatherman. Together, they nurtured a loving family and raised two wonderful children: their son, Wayne Weatherman Jr., of Pottsboro, Texas, and their daughter, Valerie Ann Weatherman, residing in Fort Worth, Texas.
Throughout his professional career, Darwin showcased his talent and dedication in various fields. Initially, he contributed his expertise to Texas Instruments, where he worked diligently on computers. Later, he transitioned to being a subcontractor alongside his son in construction focusing on foundation repair, embarking on a fulfilling journey in this domain.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Darwin cultivated a rich tapestry of hobbies and interests that brought him immense joy and fulfillment. He had a passion for square dancing and Bluegrass music also held a special place in his heart, as he displayed his musical talent by playing the bass guitar with skill and enthusiasm.
Darwin’s love for the outdoors was evident in his fondness for fishing and boating. Whether casting a line into the waters or navigating the waves, he found solace and contentment in the embrace of nature. Darwin also pursued his passion in scuba diving. Additionally, he was a proud member of the National Rifle Association (NRA).
Darwin was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol Weatherman, his devoted parents, Martin Hill Weatherman and Mildred Weatherman, and his dear brother, Mickey Weatherman.
