Nancy Lovina Bomsburger passed away on March 14, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on December 1, 1935, in Redden, Oklahoma, to Otah and Verlie (Leeper) Armstrong, Nancy was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She lived a life of devotion to her family, faith, and community.
Nancy married the love of her life, A.J. Bomsburger, and together they built a family that was central to her heart. She was a member of the Pottsboro church of Christ for over 50 years, where she made lasting connections and was a devoted part of her church family. Her faith was a guiding force in her life.
Nancy’s professional life was marked by dedication and hard work. She spent many years working at the sewing factory for Levi Strauss before retiring from Texas Instruments (TI) after 30 years of service. During a period of her life, she also took pride in being a homemaker, focusing on caring for her children and creating a warm and loving home.
Nancy loved the simple joys in life. She enjoyed playing dominoes and solitaire, activities that brought her comfort and happiness. Above all, she treasured her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, cherishing every moment spent with them.
She is survived by her three children: Roger Dale Bomsburger and wife Nantaphak, Connie Sue Meshell and husband Patrick, and Tony David Bomsburger. Nancy is also survived by her grandchildren: David Bomsburger and wife Misty, Glen Bomsburger and wife Mickey, Crystal Talbot and husband Chris, Justin Norrell and wife Theresa, and Nimit Aumsawat. She was blessed with 7 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren who were the joy of her life.
Nancy is also survived by her siblings: Dwight Ray Armstrong and wife Verna, Larry Dee Armstrong and wife Vickie, Paul Edward Armstrong and wife Brenda, Cleo Neal Armstrong, Ted Allen Armstrong and wife Sue, Alice Muri Simpson, Hazel Wyneth Roberts, Marie Joyce Burke, Edith Lois Armstrong, Linda Carroll Blalock,Sherry Elaine Cavender and husband Gary; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, A.J. Bomsburger; her parents, Otah and Verlie Armstrong; sisters, Doris Louise James and Jewell Loretta Gorton; brothers, Walter Eugene Armstrong, James Wesley Armstrong, Glen Albert Armstrong, and Doyle Truman Armstrong; and a great-great-grandchild, Kayson Black.
Nancy’s legacy will live on through her children, grandchildren, and all who knew her. She will be dearly missed but always remembered for her kindness, love, and unwavering faith.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at the Pottsboro church of Christ, 522 FM 120, Pottsboro, Texas 75076. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, March 17, 2025, at the Johnson-Moore Pottsboro Chapel, 511 FM 120, Pottsboro, Texas 75076.
