    says:

Neil & Elizabeth were great neighbors since we moved next door to them in 1981. We appreciated how he spent time sharing his knowledge of rocks with our grandson, Zach. He had such patience with him, showing him how to create beautiful jewelry. We will miss seeing Neil working in his yard & visiting during the holidays to deliver a plate of Elizabeth’s scrumptious sweet treats. He was a good man & we are so glad we knew him. James & Kay

Greetings and condolences to all my Chauncey relatives. I remember Neil as a quiet and somewhat reserved man who enjoyed watching and listening more than talking. Maybe it’s just because I didn’t know him as well as my other “uncles”, but sometimes he seemed to be the “quiet” in the storm. I’m sure he will be greatly missed. I am praying for comfort and peace for all of the family>

    says:

It was 1949 and I was six years old. My family was so excited! Neil was bringing his bride, Liz, to meet us. This wonderful man was very special to us so I thought this woman better be something and when she stepped out the red convertible (as I remember) I knew they were my fairytale couple. This began the lifelong friendship of our families. It all started in Rosebud in 1949. Paula Hurd (daughter of Denzil and Aline Martin)
