Oma Ruth Williamson, 95, passed away peacefully Monday, January 1, 2018 at the Homestead of Denison. She was born October 12, 1922 to Monroe and Safronia (Davis) Ledbetter in Bonham, Texas. She attended Denison High School. On September 30,1941, she married the love of her life, Willis Williamson, in Sherman, TX. Oma was a loving wife, homemaker and very active with her family.
Family visitation will be Friday, January 5, 2018 from 6:00-7:00 PM and funeral services will be Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 11:00 AM both at the Johnson-Moore Funeral Home in Denison. Interment will follow at the Bells Cemetery in Bells, Texas. Rev. Bill Brown will officiate. Pallbearers are her loving sons and grandsons.
Oma is survived by her sons, Joe Scott Williamson of Bloomfield, NM and Alan Williamson of Mesquite, TX and daughter, Ruthie Willene Hullett of Denison. She has 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willis Williamson; son, Randell Williamson; brother, Arless Ledbetter and sisters, Eudell Cundiff and Irene Guidi.
