No matter how hot it was or how tired he was, he was always willing to work on my car. Taking care of the needs of others before yourself is a sign of a true friend. He was a good man and will be missed.

Parker was a great father to me, one of the best fathers on this earth. He taught me to be a respectful young lady. He was the one positive male role models I had in my life. He loved me unconditionally and treated me like I was daughter. I am his daughter. Maybe not from his blood, but I am his daughter. I loved him very much and will miss him deeply. R.I.P. Dad!

Way back when Parker had that little motorcycle…He took me to Ray Hubbard Park there by the power plant to teach me how to drive that thing. I would do as he instructed me and it kept wanting to take off without me. A few times I came close to dropping it on it’s side until I finally let it lay all the way down. Parker came over, lifted it up off of me, then asked if I was ok as he dusted the gravel off my leg. Once he knew I was alright he then said “Lesson Over….some people just weren’t meant to ride on their own”. At first I was angry with him for quitting the lesson, but it was one of the times I could not argue back since I knew he was right. I still don’t know how to drive a motorcycle.

Other than being a Great Man, Great Father, and Great Grandfather (Papa), Parker was a great debator. We loved to have the friendly debates that would just make everyone around us laugh. He truly will be greatly missed, but I know he is smiling down on us.

I am so sorry for your loss. I went to elementary school all the way through high school with Parker in Mesquite. Was very happy to have reconnected with him through Facebook. I knew of his fight with cancer. I know he will be missed. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

I don’t know what ya’ll called it, but ya’ll enjoyed it so much – too funny! Amy says debate, I think it was just baiting one another to see who could last the longest. I might have worried but I knew you weren’t arguing, just having fun (and I do remember what the “great debate” was about…hahaha)!
