Peggy Hagood Kennedy, 79, died on Monday, April 18, 2022 at Carrus Specialty Hospital in Sherman.
Peggy was born in Denison, Texas on April 28, 1942, the daughter of Eugene Raymond and Dollie May (Newton) Hagood. She celebrated class reunions with the class of 1960. Peggy got married in 1957 and had four wonderful children. She loved to garden, was a great organizer of family reunions, an amazing cook, fabulous seamstress and very meticulous quilter. She retired from Texas Instruments and MEMC after working 34 years in quality control and the clean room.
The family will receive friends from 5-6 p.m. Sunday, April 24, 2022 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 25 2022 at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home with burial to follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park.
Peggy is survived by her sons, Kevin Kennedy, Doug Kennedy and his wife, Christina and Keith Kennedy all of Denison; daughter, Teresa Kennedy Bergquist and her husband, Alan of Pottsboro; brother, Larry Hagood of Hendrix, OK; sister, Margarite Lynch of Denison; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Clyde Hagood, Robert Hagood and Jerry Hagood; sister, Hazel Hagood Kaiser and granddaughter, Micah Desiree Yert.
Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home.
