Ronald “Ron” J. Oliveri
March 15, 1946 – January 31, 2025
Ronald “Ron” J. Oliveri, age 78, of Denison, Texas, passed away on January 31, 2025, at Texoma Medical Center. Born on March 15, 1946, in Santa Monica, California, he was the son of Joseph and Josephine (Granata) Oliveri. Ron led a life full of accomplishments, love, and generosity.
In 1970, Ron married the love of his life, Ann Marie Oliveri, in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Together, they built a beautiful life, raising a family and creating lasting memories. Ron was a proud graduate of the University of North Dakota, where he earned a degree in Aviation Administration and Business. His professional career ended as a financial analyst, and he eventually retired from Southland after many years of dedicated service.
A passionate aviator, Ron served in the United States Air Force for four years, and his love for flying remained a lifelong passion. He was a skilled commercial pilot and never missed an opportunity to share his knowledge and love of aviation with others.
Outside of his career, Ron was a man of many interests. He was an avid gardener, with an eye for perfection in his meticulously cared-for plants and flowers. His generosity knew no bounds; he never forgot a special occasion and always had the perfect gift for everyone in his life. He enjoyed the excitement of baseball and the thrill of the horse races, but above all, Ron cherished time spent with his family. He was known for hosting wonderful family meals, bringing loved ones together with great food and even greater warmth.
Ron was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Oliveri; two children, Chris Oliveri and wife Grace, and Jeff Oliveri, all of Denison, Texas; two grandchildren, Brittney Williams and husband Brandon of Bennington, OK, and Mason Oliveri of Denison, Texas; two great-grandchildren, Brayden and Emily Williams; and sister-in-law, Kay Oliveri of Morgan Hill, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Josephine Oliveri; his brother, William “Bill” Oliveri; and his grandchild, Tommy Oliveri.
Services for Ron will be held Friday, February 7, 2025, 10:30 am at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home in Denison, Texas. Interment with military honors to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Denison.
